CANCELLED – MARATHON SPORTS4LIFE EVENT AT WEMMER PAN ON SUNDAY 16 FEBRUARY 2020……….
It is with regret that we are having to cancel the Dusi Prep and marathon events at JCC this Sunday the 16th Feb.
There has been a serious chemical spill into Wemmer Pan which has killed100’s of large carp and many many smaller fish.
Sadly many of the seagulls, sacred ibis’s ….etc that are feeding on the carcases will also be affected by the poisoning.
The Green Hawks, Police, Gauteng Local Gov and Dept of Water Affairs have been informed, but with no action noticeable as yet.
