Feedback – Dabs 4 hour enduro – 27 October 8am – 12pm
The 4 Hour Enduro took place at Emmarentia Dam on Saturday 27 October – organised by Dabulamanzi Canoe Club – it was a lovely hot summer day and there was a wide range of age groups making up teams to paddle as many laps as they could in a 4 hour period, between 8 and 12 pm….
The results of the senior race have not yet been made available, however thanks to Jodie (GCU School League) we can give feedback on the juniors achievements!

There were a number of junior teams that participated and the winning juniors completed 23 laps – they were made up of a mixed group of Under 14 and Under 16 males from Dabs, Finlay Leask, Adrian Rodd, and Connor Erwee as well as SCARC’s Thanduxolo Dywill…..
In the Under 12 age group, a group of 4 boys finished 21 laps in K1 boats – Theo Dreyer, Tome Dos Santos, Alex Renouprez and Nicholas Faure from Dabulamanzi….
The Parktown girls made up a team of 4 ladies to take the second place in the Junior category finishing 20 laps between them – Johanna Ciolkosz, Rosalie James, Nurain Saloojee and Sherona Gower from Dabulamanzi CC.
An Under 14 K1 males team of completed 20 laps – Luke Salmon (Dabs) with Siyamthanda Qumbelo, Phikela Ngamlana and Sikhanyisele Dekeda from SCARC…..
Another K2 ladies team from SCARC completed 16 laps – well done to Tinyiko Mahwayi and Thembihle Jokozela…..
Even the Guppies got involved with a mixed age group of Under 12’s finishing 13 laps – Jorden Byres, Aiden Honke and James Dingley from Dabulamanzi…..while a SCARC guppy team finished 12 laps with Nhlamulo Mahwayi, Lungile Mahwayi, Sinelihle Jiza and Litha Mazibukwana…..!
