The Gauteng Canoe Polo Schools Trials will be hosted next weekend 12th March 2016 at 2pm (registration starts at 1pm) at East Rand Kayak (Benoni Lake, Ebenezer Road, Homestead Dam, Benoni). All paddlers (male/female) are encouraged to attend the trials for the selection of the provincial teams that will be attending national champs in April.
How will it work: Paddlers need to enter individually on the day. The paddlers will then be put through a series of tests and games to determine the teams that will be attending national champs. We would like to put together as many teams together as possible so that Gauteng can dominate at national championships.
Will there be equipment: Yes there will be a full set of equipment for the whole day (boats, helmets, PFD, paddles, splashies, balls)
How much: The cost of the trials is R100 per paddler. The money from this tournament is including the boat rental for the day and all fees will go back to the sport.
Registration: From 1pm – 2pm on 12th March. Trial will start promptly at 2pm.
What is the reason for the Trials: SA Canoe Polo Champs is on the 16th and 17th April at Shongwheni Dam in Durban (https://www.facebook.com/SouthAfricanCanoePolo/?ref=aymt_homepage_panel)
I can’t make it to trials but I want to still attend SA Champs: please send an e mail to Nicole@rockpaperscissorsot.co.za and we will allocate you to a team if possible.
