SUNDAY 26 MARCH – GCU SPRINT TRIALS / TEAM SELECTION FOR SA SPRINTS AT WEMMER PAN
The Gauteng Sprint Championships will be taking place at JCC on Sunday 26 March 2017.
Registration will start at 07:00 and first race will start at 08:00.
As it is Gauteng Sprints it will also be the selection event for SA Champs for the U/18, U/23 and Senior age groups, if you are not there you will not be eligible for team selection.
We will start off with the 500m in all age categories and then once the heats, semi’s and finals are done we will move on to the 200m, and depending on time available we will have a long distance at the end of the day.
Entry form will be available by the end of the week and all entries will be done through JCC, it will not be available on the GCU Website.
Entry forms will be sent to fhpicanoeing@gmail.com and entries close on the 23nd March at 18:00.
No late entries will be accepted as we would like to confirm the program of events on the Friday so we can run the event as seamlessly as possible with the minimal delays.
It is not only an event for the serious sprinters only, everyone is welcome to come join in for the racing. This event is also going to be a schools league event, so everyone will be there doing some fast races.
Bacon and Egg Rolls will be on sale, as well as Tea and Coffee.
Cold Drinks and Powerades will be available and later in the day we will be doing some wors rolls.
