Due to security unrest at Shongweni Dam, the decision was made to relocate the SA Sprints and the SA School Sprints to Roodeplaat Dam in Gauteng, in April this year which will be a great relief to the Gauteng paddlers and parents of the juniors…..although inconvenient to the Natal teams unfortunately!
The SA Snr Sprint Championships and selection trial for u18, u23 Worlds Champs team and Snr World Cup team will be hosted at Roodeplaat dam from 2 – 4 April 2018.
SA Schools Sprint Championships will be hosted in Gauteng at the Roodeplaat dam from 6 – 8 April 2018. Bring your family and friends and enjoy a weekend full of fun and competitive racing by South Africa’s up and coming younsters! 6 – 8 April 2018.
The Academy of Canoe Development has accommodation available/camping at Roodeplaat for those who do not wish to travel daily – information below, attached.
