My apologies if the previous description of the TRAC N4 Lowveld Crocodile River race taking place on Saturday 26 and 27 September was not accurate or suitable – however all the necessary information has been provided on the flyer which was attached for reference.
Organisers of the The TRAC N4Lowveld Croc river race have provided further details to encourage paddlers to try the river, not just the regular core group that loves it so much, but those who are thinking of trying it – for the first time.
It is the 53rd running of this highly esteemed annual event that attracts among the top paddlers throughout the country regularly to take on the exciting and technical challenges of the river and the fireside stories of the adventures and rapids are always exciting.
The river meanders through the beautiful valley from Kwena dam and teems with natural wildlife – paddlers in recent months can confirm having seen otter, buffalo, narina trogan and Fish Eagle as well as antelope from time to time on the river.
Race organisers confirm that the river is most definitely doable and quite manageable – remember they teach their beginner canoeists on this river – like those who cut their teeth on the Dusi….
Its a busy race especially suited to those who don’t like long flat stretches – possibly the longest flat stretch without bubblies, drops, rapids, or wave train is about 150m……so it is excellent value for money and well worth the trip.
TRAC N4 has been a firm supporter of the race for many years while local farmers have also been most accommodating and the generous hospitality and welcome of the Lowvelders has long been recognized making it an attractive and interesting race that all competent paddlers should aim to do!
Make it a long weekend and take the family for an enjoyable weekend away in Mpumalanga while including the race in the plans! Enter NOW – HERE…
