THE MOVIE BEYOND THE RIVER / FROM THE BOOK THE CONFLUENCE WRITTEN BY PIERS CRUICKSHANKS
Siseko, Sbonelo, Brad and I will be embarking on a trip next week to Canada and the US to promote Beyond the River and a positive SA story!
The short version is, the film has been selected for an SA film festival in Vancouver, a major film festival in San Francisco (top 100 chosen from 1000s of entries) and we’ve been invited to present a private screening in LA to the LA World Affairs Council (past speakers include people like Mandela, Dalai Lama, Martin Luther King, American presidents – but not Trump!). The ultimate success would be to find a buyer to distribute the film but we hope to do some positive publicity for SA and tell the story of breaking social and cultural barriers along the way.
