Well done to all the Gauteng juniors who performed to the best of their ability at the SA School – interprovincial interschool kayak sprint competition which took place at Roodeplaat on the weekend starting 30 April, and over 1 and 2 May!
The weather was generally superb although a nasty gusty wind made lining up at the sprint starts of the 1000m on the first day very difficult! Distances covered 1000m, 500m, and 200m over the three days in K1, K2 for under 14 upwards and even U18 K4 races.
