Information regarding a single day licence:
- A single day licence can be used ONCE ONLY during any calendar year for any of the races. Thus, from the date of the race which you’ve used it, you won’t be able to use a single day licence again for the next year. Thereafter, you get granted a single day licence again.
- Record will be kept of anyone using single day licences
- You can only use a day licence if you’ve been registered the previous season or the season before that.
- You can’t use a day licence if you’ve never been registered and don’t have a CSA number
- Single day licence entries will NOT BE DONE ONLINE – it will be done manually
- The fee will be 50 % of the race entry fee (over and above the race entry fee)
- The fee will be paid over into the attached bank account
- ( Please note – EFT [Electronic Funds Transfer] only. No cash deposits as a result of the high bank charges – R75 + 2.5% of transaction value. - You have to sign an indemnity form – POSTED ON FACEBOOK/GAUTENGCANOEUNION AND WILL BE POSTED ON GCU WEBSITE. (No attachments can go through on this Mailing group). THE DOCUMENT WILL ALSO BE SENT OUT ON NEXT MAILCHIMP NEWSLETTER FROM GAUTENGCANOEUNION – (IF you do not receive this please email / whatsapp me name and email address to be added) (Jenniedallas23@gmail.com; 0828578571)
- If you are from another union, you need to get a letter from your union confirming that you were registered the previous season and it needs to state your proficiency rating.
- This all needs to be done 1 WEEK before the race because only once we received the signed indemnity, proof of payment and confirmation (if you are from another union), will your entry be manually added to the race.
- The timekeepers will make a note to your entry that it’s a single day licence
- If you pay for your single day licence and then not participate at the race, your entry will be forfeited and the fee will not be refunded or carried over to another race.
- If you are doing a race in a K2 or K3 and your partners are registered members, they will enter online as per normal. The single day licence will be handled manually as per above. The timekeeper will then be informed to combine the entries into a K2 or K3 entry.
