VLC Cake Race Reminder
Please remember this Saturday 9th of May.
The weather promises to be good and this 13Km race which presents an ideal opportunity for novices trying to get race credits for their overall river grading.
Although we welcome all paddlers, the event is specifically a low pressure event targeting novices.
As with tradition the first novice crew will be awarded the grand prize, being a cake sponsored by Nicola’s Cakes.
Action to look forward to, Broken Weir drop, Little Klip rapid, Pumphouse rapid, Double Drop and Caravan Park rapid.
Don’t forget to get your online entries in before Thursday night to avoid the additional late entry levy and the last batch start.

Class: Officially a K2 event but k1’s and K3’s welcome
Start Time: 9H00 (Race briefing 8H40)
Start: Either Scout Hall or Resturant next door waiting for confirmation from restaurant if they will be open. Finish : Meyerton Caravan Park
Food and Drinks: Theresia will have her delicious burgers and cool drinks for sale. (Please bring you own beers as these will not be on sale)
Distance: 13Km (Officially confirmed with Garmin)
Entry Fee: Online Entries R80 seniors, R50 Juniors (online entries close Thursday 7th 17H00), late entries incur R25 late entry fee per paddler
