The VLC first race of the series scheduled to take place on Saturday 2017 had to be postponed unfortunately due to the most unusual lightning accompanying the cold front at 8am the morning of the race – unexpected early morning lightning in Gauteng!
Those diehards and non sissies who arrived for the race consoled themselves socialising as well as cake and sherry ..with coffee and bacon and egg rolls as they commiserated the fact that they couldnt do the race – saddened because the river water level was up, however nobody was too distressed in view of the extreme cold, wind and rain including sleet in the area!
The rescheduled date for this event will beANNOUNCED ASAP.
