Christmas Gift suggestion from SAMSAClause
As many of you may be aware the special CSA dispensation from SAMSA regarding lifejackets comes to an end in January.
All PFD worn in CSA sanctioned events must, from January, conform to EN ISO 12402-5 ({Level 50}).
Currently most imported jackets conform – Vaikobi, Zero etc.
Of the SA made jackets only X-Treme and one Mocke jacket comply. Other manufacturers are working on compliance.
So if your current jacket does not conform, let your loved ones know what to look for in terms of labels for a suitable stocking filler! Something like these.
