GAUTENG MARATHON TEAM SELECTION – FOR SA CHAMPIONSHIPS – 11 AND 12 JUNE – WESTERN CAPE
Hi All,
Before I present the GCU Team selections for SA Marathon Champs…..I need to thank Richard Tandy and the ERK gang
that helped make for a successful GCU Marathon Champs this past weekend…..even though the weather did its best
not to play along.
There was some great competitive racing ,notably up front in the K1 and K2 events……Wayne Jacobs and Siseko Ntondini
had a ding dong battle throughout the K1 event…eventually Wayne taking the ‘’Line Honours ‘’ from Siseko by 2 secs.
The 2 of them then teamed up for the K2 event on Sunday morning…having never paddled K2 before….and they finished
overall K2 Gauteng Champs.
From U8’s in the Guppy events on Saturday……right through to the GGMasters….it was great to see the field giving it
all they had as they raced their respective distances.
GCU Team to represent Gauteng at the upcoming SA Marathon Champs at Sandvlei/Peninsula Canoe Club on the 11/12 June.
