2 DAY KLIP – OFFICIAL TRIPS – 6 AND 7 AUGUST 2016 – TO REPLACE CANCELLED TUGELA:
VLC and FLCC will both be hosting an official river trip this weekend on different sections of the Klip River. Apart from the great opportunity to get two back to back 20 Km sections of river training, it provides ‘Novices’ two additional opportunities to get points towards your ‘A’ grade river rating as they will be submitted to GCU/CSA for acceptance. (Take note, you may only have two ‘official river trips’ contributing towards your 6 river points).
Please note these are river trips will be overseen by designated CSA safety officials to ensure the safety and validity on behalf of GCU. There will be no time keeping, no prizes, no results and food and drinks at the end of the trip will be for you to arrange if you so wish, oh and no entry fee:) .
All we require is for every paddler who intends to trip on the day to register at the river 30 minutes beforehand. We will provide guides, marshals and sweeps to ensure everyone finishes safely. We will need to record that you have finished successfully if you require this trip to be recognised by CSA towards your ‘A’ grading.
VLC River Trip 1: Saturday 6th 13H30 (change in time to allow us Lions supporters to watch the Final also it will be a lot warmer)

VLC will be hosting this trip on Saturday, starting from Scout Hall Henley, through to the Caravan Park Meyerton.
