I would like to introduce myself, my name is Pieter Vermeulen, I work for One27, a Cape Town-based Youth Exchange Organisation specializing in recruiting and sending young skilled South Africans to work at US Summer Camps from June to August each year.

Each year thousands of applicants aged 18-27 from across the world get hired to work at these Summer Camps to be mentors and share their skills with young Americans. Applicants with water-sports skills such as canoeing have a good chance to get hired as many of these camps have water-based activities.

We can’t encourage enough people to travel and explore as one learns so many life skills by doing a cultural exchange program which can help a person in their future career. It allows people the chance to learn more about the world, make some friends and have the time of their lives. All of our staff have done cultural exchange programs and can provide a parallel insight into the cultural exchange world and the thrills and spills of such an adventure.

We offer a truly personalized service and an all-inclusive package that includes everything from round-trip flights, Visa costs, Meet & Greet in Boston/New York, transport to camp,  food & accommodation for the duration of camp, Insurance and legal documentation. All this for about the same price as a return ticket to the US (for first timers only) plus applicants get paid pocket money whilst at these camps. They also get access to an optional 30 days travels anywhere in the U.S after their program.

The 2018 recruitment season has started and if you think anyone at your club or in your network might be interested I could send you a poster that could be put up at the club or some more detailed information that could be shared on your platform.

Please have a look at the video here on our website to get a better idea of what Camp Exchange USA is all about. Applications are done through our website.
